2017 Events

What Home Means to Me

Every year the Adams County Housing Authority (ACHA) collects drawings accompanied by thoughts of “What Home Means to Me” from children residing in their affordable housing developments throughout Adams County as part of the NAHRO and Housing America Campaign.

Since 2007 ACHA has participated in this event where children have the opportunity to express their creativity and thoughts by drawing a picture and writing an essay of up to 100 words on what home means to them.  Contests are held at the state level with the winners then competing at the National level in three categories: Elementary School, Middle School and High School.  Each year 12 winners are selected from around the country where their entries are used to create the 12 monthly pages of the annual Housing America Calendar.

This year, the drawing events will be held on Saturday, March 4th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at each of our properties.  If you would like more information about this event, please contact Annie Ramirez at 303-227-2044 or This email address is being protected from spambots.
