ACHA acquired Terrace Garden apartments, 7100 Hooker Street, Westminster, CO on August 5, 2008. The 180-unit complex is located along major bus routes and 0.5 mile from the Highway 36/Federal Interchange, providing a good location to tenants within the metro area. The complex will be about two blocks from the future FasTracks commuter rail stop planned at 71st and Hooker/Irving, which is expected to be operational in 2015. ACHA will add tremendous value to the property by asserting our management standards and offering stability to those tenants who remain after our management takeover. Terrace Gardens provides affordable housing to a tenant base that enjoys its value and location attributes. ACHA plans to redevelop the property with higher-density and high quality affordable units to take advantage of the TOD site in the next several years.
Earlier in the summer, ACHA acquired Waterview on the Parkway, an 84 unit community located at 1620 Coronado Parkway, in unincorporated Adams County.
