1st Annual Taste of Homeownership Fair
Adams County Housing Authority is proud to sponsor the 1st Annual Taste of Homeownership Fair on Saturday, April 26. The event is being held at the Adams County Fairgrounds, 9755 Henderson Road, Brighton, from 10:00am to 3:00 pm. It is free and open to the public!
The Homeownership Fair is an educational event to answer questions for people looking to buy a home. Experts will discuss down payment assistance programs, credit counseling, obtaining a mortgage, home inspections, disability programs, foreclosure prevention. Real estate agents will discuss the home buying process answering your questions.
Educational classes will be ongoing throughout the day. If you are a first time homebuyer, or already own a home, and wondering about buying in this housing market, ask the experts. Credit counselors will answer questions about your credit score and readiness to purchase. Lenders will help you to understand your affordability and requirements for obtaining a mortgage. Real estate agents will explain how to start your home search. Housing Authorities will explain down payment assistance programs. Non-profit agencies can answer your questions about specialty areas such as disability, and foreclosure prevention.
There will be free food, games and a clown offering face painting for the kids. There will be hourly prize drawings, and a fun atmosphere where people can get their questions answered about home ownership and have some fun, too.! Please join us.
